Iraq's Hidden Secret
The channel has known for some time that Iraq has more than a corruption issue, which the Prime Minister insists on eliminating daily.
However, there is another issue that we need to discuss. The channel has made excessive efforts to remain positive. Yet, reporting the news is just that. You report the good, the bad, and the ugly. At the end of the day, everything ties together and contributes to the advancement or delay of the Iraqi Dinar currency.
This news story, which we have re-written, was published by a reputable news outlet on August 28th, 2024.
Throughout 2024, Iraqi authorities detained more than 130 international and local drug traffickers.
Al-Rusafa Investigation Court ordered these arrests, according to the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs. According to the Directorate's Special Investigations Unit, 76 international traffickers and 55 local traffickers were captured during the operations.
These operations also resulted in the seizure of 926 kilograms of various narcotic substances.
It was long believed that Iraq was a transit point for drugs from Afghanistan and Iran to Europe and the Gulf states, but since the 2003 overthrow of the former regime, Iraq has become a significant consumer of drugs.
7,000 arrests, two tons of drugs and 10 tons of psychotropic substances, and 100 death sentences or life imprisonments for drug trafficking offenses were reported by the Iraqi Ministry of Interior between early 2024 and July 2024.
Note: Today's video explains why the Iraqi Dinar is not available on most platforms to trade on the Forex Market. The Central Bank of Iraq is dealing with money laundering and drug trafficking. Maintaining a low profile on the Forex Market appears to be part of the CBI's protocol.
