Global Changes: The UN is Moving 1/4 of Its Staff to Kenya!
This move by the UN to Nairobi is turning heads and causing deep discusses.
This relocation is labeled as "massive."
A quarter of the entire staff now in New York, is now moving to Africa!
The people in Nairobi are not happy about the move because, now foreigners will arrive and increase the cost of food, housing and maybe even transportation. Sure it places Nairobi on the world map with more focus, but it also hurts the locals whose cost of living will increase with one-quarter of the entire UN staff moving to their city.
The other side of the coin, is, many of the UN staff members do NOT want to move to Africa. They enjoy living in New York.
Of course, many staff members will not relocate, so if you want to work for the UN, now might be a good time to submit your resume.
Things are changing on a global scale, and the UN is leading the way.
