US trying to calm the waters in Iraq and Syria, so far, the IQD investment is safe

Secretary Blinken Heads Back to
the Middle East

The interruption of war may or may not be good for our Iraqi Dinar investment.  On one hand, current events are making Iraq stand on its own two feet, especially when it comes to the US dollar and Iran trying to obtain US dollars.  Here is what is happening in the Middle East today.  Remember the closer Iraq gets to Iran the worst it could be for our investment.  And as of now, they are getting really close.

As the Biden administration continues to address a region that has become increasingly unstable and tense since the Israel-Hamas conflict began, Secretary of State Antony Blinken is returning to the Middle East.

Blinken's visit comes amid attacks in the Red Sea, Lebanon, Iran and Iraq, threatening a wider conflict and disrupting commercial vessels and international trade routes in the region.

Blinken will visit Turkey, Greece, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, the West Bank, and Egypt, according to the State Department.

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, "We do not expect every conversation on this trip to be easy. There are obviously hard decisions to make in the region." But the secretary believes it is the responsibility of the United States of America to lead diplomatic efforts to tackle those challenges head on, and he's prepared to do that in the days to come."

U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle have expressed concerns about the end game to President Biden about Blinken's departure as international criticism mounts against Israel's Gaza operation.

It comes just days after a suspected Israeli attack in Beirut killed Hamas deputy leader Saleh Arouri. The White House has said "nobody should cry" over the death, but it could complicate Blinken's mission.

Among Blinken's Gaza-specific priorities will be pressing for additional humanitarian aid, advocating for less intense military operations in Gaza and reducing violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

In order to prevent a wider conflict, it is crucial to deter attacks on commercial Red Sea shipping by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels, to prevent attacks on Israel by Hezbollah, and to prevent attacks on U.S. military facilities and interests by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria.

According to a U.S. defense official, there have been 121 attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria since Oct. 17.
