Iraqi ports generated more than 985 billion dinars in 2023, an increase of 100% over the previous year."

 

According to the General Company for Iraqi Ports, it will achieve 985 billion dinars in 2023.

In a press conference followed by Al-Iqtisad News, the company's director Farhan Al-Fartusi said, "Iraqi ports generated more than 985 billion dinars in 2023, an increase of 100% over the previous year."

"This achievement was made possible by the strong management of the ports, the determination of their staff, the projects that were developed and opened, and the prepared plans which eliminated much red tape and fighting corruption.".

According to Al-Fartusi, "his company will move to electronic management, and 2024 will be the year of digitization in Iraq's ports," noting that "the completion rates of the five Al-Faw port projects are high, and we are on the cusp of operation."
