When the channel reported over eight months ago that Iraq is floating on oil, that has not even been discovered, here is proof of that evaluation.
According to the Ministry of Oil, 199 oil wells were drilled and reclaimed by the Iraqi Drilling Company during the past year.
In a statement seen by Al-Eqtisad News, Khaled Hamza Abbas, Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, said, "During the past year 2023, the company's technical and engineering staff drilled 67 oil wells, as well as reclaimed 132 oil wells in Iraqi oil fields in the north, middle, and south."
Abbas pointed out "the national effort of the company's technical and engineering teams, which have gained experience and skill, their reliance on modern methods in internationally approved drilling operations, and their commitment to quality performance, health, safety, and environmental standards, and in compliance with the requirements.
