Iraq donates 10 million liters of fuel to hospital in Gaza
The Iraqi government has donated ten million liters of fuel to Gaza to power generators and operate hospitals.
As part of its regular session yesterday, the Iraqi Cabinet agreed to donate fuel to Gaza's hospitals to "alleviate the suffering of our brothers from the Palestinian people."
It did not specify a date for fuel shipments or how they would be allowed into the blockaded areas.
It was announced on 4 November that Iraq sent a third batch of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, including 11 tonnes of medical supplies.
Despite warnings that power outages will lead to the deaths of hundreds of patients on life support machines and babies in incubators, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to allow fuel into Gaza.
