Blinken Surprise Visit to Ramallah; Iraq Warns of Regional War as Iraqi PM Begins Middle East Tour to Discuss Conflict;

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is greeted by PLO Secretary General Hussein al-Sheikh as he arrives to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group

In the meantime, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, will begin a regional tour on Monday to discuss the developments in the Gaza Strip.

In light of the raging conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein warned on Saturday that a regional war was imminent.

Iraqi News Agency (INA) reports Hussein said that the government is working to keep Iraq away from war, emphasizing that dangers are threatening the region as a whole.

To stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, the Iraqi Foreign Minister stressed the importance of coordinating with influential countries.

On the 29th day, the Israeli army continued to bomb the Gaza Strip, where the escalation between Hamas and Israeli forces began after Hamas launched the Al-Aqsa Flood attack on October 7, when 1,400 Palestinians were killed, and more than 220 hostages were taken by Hamas militants crossing the border.

As a result of Israel's subsequent bombardment of the Gaza Strip, where there are 2.3 million people, more than 9,000 Palestinians have died, and 32,000 have been injured.

In Israel, 1,400 people have died, and 5,400 have been injured.

A group of seven UN special rapporteurs who monitor human rights released a statement in Geneva calling for a ceasefire and warning that Palestinians face genocide.

Several Arab countries warned of the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza after Israel demanded that Gaza residents move south or to Egypt's Sinai Peninsula after the devastating Israeli bombing of Gaza sparked widespread protests and condemnations throughout the Middle East.

In Gaza, most Arab and Islamic countries, as well as Russia and China, are calling for a ceasefire.

It uses its veto to prevent the Security Council from passing a resolution requiring Israel to stop bombing Gaza.
