US Strikes Targets in Syria Oil Prices Increase More than a Dollar!

There were reports that the U.S. military had struck Iranian targets in Syria, raising concerns that the conflict between Israel and Hamas might widen and affect supplies from the Middle East's central production region.

Brent crude futures for December delivery were up $1.16, or 1.3 percent, at $89.09 a barrel at 0338 GMT. WTI December crude futures were up $1.08, or 1.3%, at $84.29 a barrel.

In response to recent attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria, the Pentagon said on Thursday that it targeted two facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

These attacks have increased since Israel and Hamas began their conflict on October 7.
