"The electronic platform has attracted more than 85 percent participation," he added, noting that "the Central Bank seeks to deal with sober companies that disclose their final beneficiaries."
In his remarks, he noted that "border crossings don't collect more than 10 percent of customs tariffs," pointing out the necessity of having determinants of trade in all its forms.
As he continued, "Irregular trade has distorted the Iraqi economy," noting that "there are tracks that aren't subject to government control."
He said the central bank has put forward an initiative to support banks with housing loans, stressing that "dollar sales are controlled through the electronic platform."
The Iraq Fund for Development, he said, aims to provide an attractive investment environment by reviewing high-priced investment housing projects.
