Iraq Preparing to Attract Christian Pilgrimage and Archaeological Tourism

 Dhi Qar Province's grand proposal to attract Christian pilgrimage and archaeological tourism exploded onto the scene with the approval of its plan for a new tourist city. Al-Ghazi's statement announced the commencement of three stages, two of which were completed, with the third phase being the most pertinent. Preparation of a foundation design was conducted by consulting office of the University of Baghdad, while Dhi Qar Reconstruction Fund provided the resources in 2022 and 2023 to bring about infrastructure development. Now came the third and final stage: Construction and completion of the city, including its theater. Investment poured in from many eager sources seeing the great potential in launching a city with national and global importance.
